Clean, friendly, beautiful setting The whole premises look as if they have been recently painted etc. Beautiful Victorian house, with stunning tiled hallway. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very quiet rooms - loved my sea view. Great English breakfast (including lots of fruit). Stunning gardens with view, for visitors to use. Lots of "wow" factor here, I loved it.
I just stayed here after the lovely hosts Penny & Jon had turned it into self catering accommodation, with a difference. It's now possibly the most eco-friendly, well insulated (heat & sound) guest accommodation on the south coast. The shower was great and warms up fast, the bed really comfy and where I was, in the top apartment, the sound proofing made it very peaceful indeed...and there are great views from up there! The location is fab to walk into town (5-10 mins) and have a beer or some food by the old harbour and you can get your bike on the Rodwell Trail to Portland in two minutes. Just great!
We had such a wonderful stay @ The Eastney. We were welcomed immediately, nothing was too much trouble. The location is great, a 10/15 minute stroll to the heart of Weymouth. There is a closer beach which Penny told us about, it was a blistering day on a bank holiday weekend and there was still lots of room. Food was excellent, really comfy beds and a great shower. I will definitely be back.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights while I competed in the ironman competition in Weymouth. Penny and John are genuinely lovely people and I felt very welcome in their seaside hotel. The beds were comfortable, the showers were good and Weymouth bay is a close walk away. Breakfast was absolutely awesome too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Weymouth and I will stay in the Eastney again if I come back here. Thank you.
We have just returned from staying here for 4 nights to attend a sailing event nearby. Fantastic friendly owners and a lovely, clean, homely feeling bed and breakfast and our room even had some sea glimpses. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was delicious. It was also walking distance to the old harbour area where there are lots of bars and restaurants for the evening. If there is another event we will definitely be returning! We would definitely recommend this B&B if you are heading to Weymouth.
We stayed in August, my husband and I and our 2 girls aged 7 and 3. Jon and Penny were really friendly and welcoming. They always made sure we had everything we needed. Our family room had 3 single beds and a double. It was enough room for what we needed. It was bright and airy and most importantly clean!!! Our 3 year old was very happy that she could see the sea from our window too! The breakfast was perfect every morning with choice of cereal, fruit and yoghurt and cooked to order. Our 7 year old loved the fact she could have a cooked breakfast (child's portion) every morning with a pot of tea just for her, it was the highlight of her day! The location is perfect. It's in a quiet cul-de-sac which is nice to be away from the town as it gets very busy and noisy at night. There's room for a few cars out front and there is also on road parking. It's only a 10 minute walk into town and the harbour. We've stayed in Weymouth a number of times before but we've always stayed at a haven park, we decided to try something different this time and we won't be going back. We hope to stay again next year.
We stayed here for a few nights as a last minute getaway with our daughters, 3 and 8. Penny and John were amazing hosts and made us and our girls feel very welcome. The family room was very well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for Penny and John. Location is perfect as quiet but still close enough to walk. We were very impressed and will be back on our next visit to Weymouth. Thanks for a lovely stay.
The Eastney Hotel is a great family run hotel. Comfortable and clean with a great breakfast, Jon and Penny are fabulous hosts who make every guest feel incredibly welcome. We also loved the little honesty bar for a drink when we got back in for the night. Location is good, around a 10 minute walk but it is mainly uphill on the way back so we caught a taxi most evenings which was never more than £4.50! We would thoroughly recommend
